    Today (3rd of December)  we had to do an activity for the Summer Learning Journey. Our Activity was to read some facts about 10 countries and then choose one country out of those 10. After we choose one we have to blog  about  that one and say why we choose that one. Our 10 countries were: Australia, Canada, Chile, England [ United kingdom ], Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa and United Arab Emirates.

I chose Australia with its beautiful scenery and its wonderful beaches and fun.  The coconut trees for shade. I really do like that place by the sounds of it. We even saw a couple of videos but I loved Australia the best.

An interesting but scary fact is that everywhere in Australia there are snakes. If you go to someones's house and take your shoes of outside then when you come back to your shoes there will be a snake inside your shoe. The largest city in Australia is Sydney.  Australia is  famous for its natural wonders and wide open spaces, its beaches and its deserts. Here is a photo of one of the open spaces:

Novel study

                                    Novel Study

    

On Monday the 15th of October when it was the first day of school we had so much fun. We got our novel. This is a day when our teacher get a bunch of chapter books and tells us what each one is about. Then we got to choose which book we wanted. My book is called Sanspell. It is a series of the Bloodtree Chronicles. It is a fantasy book. It is about a girl who is whisked away to a magical land where she meets her great aunts and has to save them by saving the bloodtree and by breaking the tree's curse put on by Zezmena the villain. There is also a slideshow where there are a bunch of activities for us to do like the vocabulary and glossary, The problem and solution, The beginning the middle and the end and much much more like that.                          Dazzler Digs On 

Today we have been working in our figure it out books. Our activity is called Dazzler Digs On. It is about a dog who buries his bones and takes away some, sometimes adds some and we have to say the answer of the questions. We started the activity with our group teacher. Most of the groups did this activity. This was a really fun activity especially because we all did it together with each others help.                             The Ned Show

 This term we had a man who came to our school to tell us that we are all champions. He had a show called Ned  which he said was also his friend's name. Ned stood for N- never give up, E- encourage others and D- do your best. These three things are what everybody needs to do. He had  a  yo-yo and he did a lot of cool tricks with it like he made the Eiffel Tower with the string of the yo-yo and much much more. He asked us a question at the end What should you do to achieve your dream? Then he picked a few people to answer the question. In the end a girl gave the best answer so she got a prize yo-yo and a balloon crown. Here are some of the photos  from the day:
